Since I start a LOT of my posts with “So.”, I’m going to do it a little differently today. Because I’m kinda crazy like that.
Well. (And I’m gritting my teeth right now, because I really NEED to write “So.” But I’m going out on a limb today. Just for you. You’re welcome.)
I realized the [...]

Chimes
Posted in Uncategorized on May 27, 2008 | 2 Comments »
I have a weird thing for chimes. They make me happy.
Not so for my husband.
He thinks that Satan, himself, created chimes. You know, right after he created projectile vomit and temper tantrums.
My husband has spent a few nights of his life, lying in bed, complaining loudly about the chimes making happy noises on the front [...]
Happy Rotting Bones. Now THERE’S a Great Title, Huh?

We moved to Germany back in 2000, when our four older children were small, and the other five didn’t yet exist. (MAN, our house was quiet then!) We were stationed for three years at a base in the lower part of the country, which is known as Bavaria.
I loved it.
Let me say it once more.
I [...]
This Morning

This morning, I let the children watch a little bit of “Facing the Giants” after breakfast. I was busy working in our bedroom, which is just off the living room where they were watching. I had just finished nursing our newest little one, and he was sitting on his biggest brother’s lap also enjoying the [...]

You know how sometimes your husband goes to the grocery store for some sort of something important that he needs on his day off and, before he leaves, he asks you if you’d like anything special, and since you know that they don’t sell A Headful of Long, Thick Hair at the grocery store, you settle for [...]
City Kids
Posted in Uncategorized on May 22, 2008 | 3 Comments »
For the last few days I have been attempting to ease our children’s thinking into the strong possibility that they will once again be city kids.
It’s not going well.
Due to several facts of life in the area of Arizona in which we will be living, we are applying for housing on the base on which [...]
A Confession

I learned something new yesterday. Impressive, I know. But since the Sesame Street lady tells us all to learn something new every day (which prompts me to yell at the TV EVERY MORNING…..”You can’t HELP but learn something new every day! Just what is it you are learning? And, by the way, if you only [...]
Me? Wishy-Washy? Not Really. Why Do You Ask?

I know. I’m getting on your nerves. Sorry about that but I couldn’t do without my statcount meter. That other template didn’t let me have one. And I couldn’t stand not knowing whether the person in India read my blog yesterday, and how many of you visit me. I know. It’s weird, but it motivates [...]
Allergy Boy

My husband thinks allergies are girly.
Seriously.
You know the boyfriend in “Sleepless in Seattle” who slept with a humidifier at night, and all those kleenexes, and was wimpy and whiney, and just so NOT Tom Hanks?
That’s what he thinks allergies are about. Humidifiers and kleenex boxes that don’t come with pictures of guns or Black [...]
Your opinions. Seriously!

I can’t decide which color to use for the posts.
There aren’t a lot of choices.
And it just HAS to match, or I might have to fall into a deep coma and not come out of it until it does.
This is a dark, dark green if you can’t tell.
And this one doesn’t really match at [...]
