Sentence

April 1, 2008

Yesterday, this sentence emerged from my 2-year-old’s mouth.

“(1-Year-Old) sucks stinky.”

It was like preschool gangstas yelling across the toddler playground at each other, their Baby Gap hats on backwards, their Gymboree pants 4 sizes too big, and their Pull-Ups peeking out the top.  And they’re having a territorial fight over the Little Tikes slide, slinging insults across the yard with their mispronounced words and 2-year-old lisps.

But really?  She has recently begun talking and gets words all mixed up and weird sometimes.  So she actually said, “(1-Year-Old) has stinky on his socks.”

A little different than I heard originally.  But the preschool gangsta thing WAS pretty funny, huh?

Oh, and it wasn’t stinky, by the way.  Lest you think we live in a house where it is possible to accidentally step in stinky.  It was mud, which IS possible to step in around here.  Just so you know.

This was so funny. You painted the word picture just perfect. I could see those little kids intheir pants that were four sizes to big. That was the best. Thanks for making me laugh today.

The preschool gansta thing is so easy to visualize! How funny! You better copyright it because you know you will see it on youtube soon enough!

    Glad baby is nursing better!

This was the best only because we are always noticing the current generation’s clothing…’emergencies’ and I just couldn’t relate this to your household. Still VERY cute!
