The Heat

June 21, 2009

When we were on our vacation, every now and then I would remind the children of what awaited us when we returned to Arizona.

And lots of it.

Apparently, one smaller member of the house didn’t get that memo, however.

Because ever since we’ve been home, he has spent almost every afternoon wearing a neon knit orange snow cap on his head.  And he doesn’t realize that it’s supposed to sit low on the head and fold up at the forehead.  He wears it so that it looks like he has a large paper-mache volcano underneath that he’s toting around.

For fun.

And also, probably, to give the neighbors something to laugh about.

He’s also added various stretchy headbands to his ensemble too whenever Daddy isn’t home because Daddy  seems to be the only one who has a problem with that.

I’ve tried to explain to him that boys this age don’t actually realize that they are, indeed, boys until they’re at LEAST 4.  It’s just one of those things.

He’s not getting it though.  He’s having enough trouble with the orange snow cap thing.

Hey, we’re just spreading joy where we can, okay?
