Comments

July 10, 2009

Really, the title of this post should be “My Complete and Utter Lack of Technology-Knowledge” or “My Boneheaded-ness”.

See, Yummy Man noticed last night that there were no comments posted for all of May, June, and July.  Because a few nights ago, I was messing around with my NINETY-TWO pages of comments, trying to get rid of some of them, and my thinking was, as long as they are on the actual blog, I don’t need to keep them in a “folder” behind the scenes, right?

RIGHT?

Agree with me here, people, because I need that right now.

Because the comments on this here blog make my days.  I love them.  They make me get up in the morning and continue breathing in and out and basically provide oxygen for my SOUL.

(Okay, not really, but I DID want to convey how incredibly much I love comments from my readers.)

BOTH of them.

(Snort!)

So what I’m getting at is this…..I approved all comments, but then they went bye-bye.

And I’m very sorry.

I cannot EXPRESS to you how sorry.

I’ll try to never do it again.  In the meantime, keep commenting.  PLEASE!

Also?  Don’t think even for a minute that my utter dorkiness in any way reflects how I feel about you.

Yes, YOU!

Thanks for reading and commenting!

I am a fairly regular reader, but lately a poor commenter! Its summer and I am a full time activity director and chauffeur, which makes me a part time commenter 🙂 But you always manage to elicit a chuckle, a cackle or a howl from me one way or the other!!

    Hey Allison!

Looks like you’ve learned a very important lesson about computers. Always, always, always SAVE your files, or the work you’ve done. (Periodlicly–OK, so I can’t spell, and I don’t feel like getting up to go get the dictionary). I’m sure you’ll never make that mistake again.
I learned that lesson way back in college–just as I finished 3 hours writing/typing up a long paper. I pushed the print button and it DISAPPEARED! I have NO idea where it went,or why it disappeared. I only knew that I had to stay up a few more hours to retype the paper. So,I was up ’til about 4am doing that. However, I did learn about saving your work (or things you like) periodicaly, so as not to lose all of it because of some glitch in the computer or my own knuckle-headedness.
As long as you learn from you mistakes and don’t repeat them… 🙂

We’re gonna make some home-made ice-cream. Want some? What is your favorite flavor? (Something to do with chocolate?) I always make the biggest batch possible. I’m NOT going to go through all that effort to have a tiny bowl of ice-cream that my family can devour in seconds. It’s the same amount of work to make the bigger batch. So, why not?
(Maybe, I’ll spread it all over my body to help me cool down…That’s a tactile learning experience, right? Not only do I learn about things by reading, I have to feel it, smell it, taste it, hear it….all of those wonderful senses…) ;->

    Have a HAPPY!!!

I don’t know. Don’t know if we should entrust you with our highly important comments. Do you think you are worthy to have access to such? 🙂 Oh well, we’ll give you one more chance. See that you don’t blow it! 🙂
