She’s Here!

It all went extremely well.

I went in at 4 cm even though I wasn’t supposed to know that about my own body.  Had really great nurses.  Sat at 5 cm for…….um……..FOREVER…..finally had my water broken, and she was born 14 minutes later.

After 2 pushes.

Don’t hate me because my babies FLY out of me once they get started.

Here.  This will make you feel better if that last sentence made you green with envy.

She weighed nine pounds, ten ounces.  Which is why I was so uncomfortable for the last month, and I use the word “uncomfortable” VERY loosely here.

Since I do not post pictures of my children on the internet, you may be wishing you could see a picture of her to see what she looks like.

Well, here.  Try this.

Imagine the most beautiful child you have ever seen……like in a Hanna Andersson catalog or a Gymboree commercial…..and multiply the cute factor by, like, 76 MILLION……..and you’ll be close.

She’s got all this dark, beautiful hair…..obviously not from MY side of the family, cute little chicken legs…..from MY side of the family, and big feet from BOTH our sides of the family.

That didn’t sound very cute, did it?

I am so grateful for all the people who prayed for us during the delivery, have congratulated us on our newest addition, and have been just generally wonderful!

More and more people have written, telling me that they are reading this blog. I wanted to thank you for your interest in our family and your well-wishes in our latest “project”.
